Never Give up, you Don't know what Tomorrow will Bring.
In life there is no failure, only lessons. Some people have never heard this or maybe don't understand it. It means that when you try something and it doesn't work, you have found a new way that your project won't work. The project isn't a failure until you quit. As long as you see value in the project and keep at it, it is a success.
“Do not overestimate the competition and underestimate yourself. You are better than you think.”
Some examples; Thomas Edison was interviewed after failing at the light bulb a thousand times. The interviewer asked him about it. Edison said that he hadn't failed, he had just identified a thousand ways that it wouldn't work. He excitedly exclaimed that he was so much closer now. Michael Jordan, maybe the best to ever play basketball was not accepted on the basketball team in high school. The coach said that he had no talent.
Warren Buffet one of the richest men in the world and possibly the most talented investor of all time wasn't accepted into Harvard. He named his company Berkshire Hathaway. It was a company that he bought and according to him it was his biggest failure. He gave his investment company that name to remind him that he is falible.
Richard Branson, owner of the Virgin empire is a highschool dropout.
The truth is that we are all so talented that when we begin succeeding, it will astonish us at how talented we are. When I began with nothing and in under 5 years became a millionaire, I was astonished. Looking back at the things that I had done to accomplish it, it didn't seem to be all that hard. Looking forward when I had nothing, I had no designs on becoming a millionaire. It never occurred to me that I ever could become one.
When it was all taken away from me, I put my head down and worked as hard as I could with no doubts that I would be a millionaire again and soon. I was right, it took about 3 years.
It's all about expectations. If you don't expect much from yourself that's exactly what you'll get. Even though I never expected to become a millionaire doesn't mean that I didn't have expectations. I have always known that I am special and that I would be a success in whatever I chose to do. Does that mean that everything worked for me? No. It means that the things that didn't work, I was able to set aside and move on to something else that would work.
I know that some of you have experienced soul crushing failures. I know that is hard to come back from. I know that because I have experienced that too. The same rule applies to you too. Yes, you can take a break, lick your wounds. You can rest and look at your failure and find out what went wrong to see what you can do to avoid those same mistakes in the future. Until you say the final, I won't move forward, you're not a failure.
