Creating a Business

I really love this quote "If you never do what you've never done, you'll never get what you've never had." Think about that for a minute. This is all about living a full and exciting life.

What I see too often is that people settle into a life of work and leisure that doesn't serve them. They had or have dreams and desires to have a richer and fuller life than the one they have.

I speak to many people who hear that I help people take their dreams and create goals and companies from them. I hear them say that they had a dream decades earlier and failed to act on it.

One thing that I have learned from having grand children is that it is hard to overstate the value of curiosity. They are all under 10 and are curious about everything. By staying curious. you are guaranteeing that you will be able to follow your dreams.

Stay Curious

Remaining in your comfort zone is the opposite of being curious. You need to leave your comfort zone behind if you're going to have those things that you've never had. I saw on my Sunday morning news programs today and they said that so many motivational speakers are speaking on the benefits of failure. It's almost like failure is the end, desired result.

No, it's not. Failure is important only because it teaches you things that you can't learn otherwise. What would it be like if you didn't have to go through failure? I did it that way. I went from a lower, middle class upbringing to millionaire by the time I was 26 years old, The same age as many of my peers who were graduating from college loaded down with student debt.

I did it by staying curious, by continually reaching for those things that I didn't know, didn't have yet. I refused to take no for an answer. I reached out to those people who knew what I didn't know. I hired mentors and teachers so that I could learn what I needed to learn to get myself to the next level, So, am I resting now? No, I continually hire people to teach me. I read biographies of people who have done the impossible, becoming rich.
